You have begun your long journey into the field of medicine to become a registered nurse and are a New Grad RN. Some may prefer to specialize in a particular field such as pediatrics oncology or any of the many others. In the field of nursing the opportunities for advancement are endless. Many nurses after working on the floors for some time look into the possibility of an administrative position. People are called into nursing because of an inherent desire to help others. A career in nursing is not only a job but a profession that while at times it can be quite hectic it can be extremely rewarding.
