You have begun your long journey into the field of medicine to become a registered nurse and are a New Grad RN. You have now entered into a career that will not only always have employment available but a career that will prove to be extremely rewarding. If you have already been working as a licensed practical nurse or even a nurses aide in a particular facility the chances are that you will continue your work there but of course at a higher pay scale. Hospitals at this point in time are truly in need of registered nurses and it would be worth your while to investigate, as a newly graduated registered nurse, any facility that may be hiring, or one where you have a particular interest in working for.
As a New Grad RN you are now in demand. As stated you have many options available to you. Of course location is something you may want to consider as well. At this point in time many physicians have registered nurses working in the office setting as they now tend to do many different procedures on site. Working in an urgent care center is another option open to you. All of this of course is one of personal preference. Research carefully the options and offers available to you before making your choice.
Once the New Grad RN has begun their professional career they can begin to look for just what if any particular field of medicine they prefer. Some may prefer to specialize in a particular field such as pediatrics oncology or any of the many others. In the field of nursing the opportunities for advancement are endless. Many nurses after working on the floors for some time look into the possibility of an administrative position. People are called into nursing because of an inherent desire to help others. A career in nursing is not only a job but a profession that while at times it can be quite hectic it can be extremely rewarding. The new graduate registered nurse has worked and studied hard to achieve the title of Registered Nurse and she should wear that pin with a pride.

I’m assuming you aren’t a new graduate RN yourself, because if you were, your article would be drastically different. All over the country for the last year, new RNs have found it extremely difficult to find jobs. Hospitals are only hiring RNs with experience. I have my BSN degree from one of the best nursing schools in the country, and have been searching country-wide for any nursing position for the last 9 months. Please do your research before posting such an insulting article.
